A look back at the opening of Vocation in Art 2025 at CJE Vaudreuil-Soulanges
Last October 14th, CJE Vaudreuil-Soulanges held its exhibition opening for Vocation in Art 2025, an inspiring event that highlights the talent of emerging artists aged 15 to 35 from the region.
Organized by Stéphanie Gagnon, youth counsellor and project manager, this 5 to 7 event brought together nearly forty people who came to celebrate creativity, passion, and local artistic talent.
An exhibition showcasing young artists
This year, 11 participating artists — amateurs and emerging artists — present 18 original works displayed on the walls of the CJE Vaudreuil-Soulanges, located at 400 boulevard Harwood in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Paintings, drawings, photographs, and mixed media creations offer a diversity of expressions and styles that showcase the rich talent present in our community.
The jury, composed of three art enthusiasts, was present at the vernissage to meet the artists and interact with guests:
- Olivier Bruel, representing the Conseil des arts et de la culture de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (CACVS)
- Mélodie Théroux, tattoo artist and former participant of Vocation en art
- Josiane Farand, photographer behind The Art of Capturing
As every year, grants will be awarded to the winners of each category, including the prestigious "People's Choice" grant awarded to a work chosen from all those exhibited.
The public is invited to vote for their favorite
The general public is warmly invited to discover the exhibition and vote for their favorite artwork in person at the CJE Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

A passing of the torch within the team
This vernissage also marked a touching moment for our team: Stéphanie Gagnon, who initiated the project several years ago, announced her departure to pursue new challenges.
It's Cinthia Bourgon, project manager at CJE Vaudreuil-Soulanges, who will now take over the reins to ensure the continuity of artistic and community projects within our organization.
